The fishery fished superb this week for fly and bait anglers and there is a massive head of trout in the ponds at the moment. Stocking remains high and many anglers bagged their fish limits with great sport using fly and bait methods.
We are still open till 8pm 7 days a week, come up and gives us a try.
THREE troutmaster specimens were caught this week. A 14lb 6oz by G Finney (Blantyre), a 13lb 8oz rainbow by Mr Russell (Falkirk), and a 9lb 8oz rainbow trout for Mr McAllister (Bathgate).
One red tagged trout was caught this week by lucky angler Mr Jarvis (Falkirk) winning him £50. There are loads of red tagged trout (£50 prize) and white tagged trout (£500) in the lochans to be caught by lucky anglers.
Best flies this week were: Fritz Nobblers, Buzzers, Diawl Bach, Bibio, Damsel. Best bait: Power Bait, Taz’s, Tobies, Maggots.
