All 3 ponds are fishing very well at the moment and there is plenty of fish activity. The trout are feeding within 1-3ft of the surface.  Another busy week produced some fine Rainbows, Blues and Browns with an average weight of just over 3lb.

Fly fishermen found a floating line during overcast periods and intermediate lines during bright periods with hoppers, damsels, and mini lures best.  Bait anglers found orange and green powerbait, and maggots worked best.

The Loch Long Angling Club bagged 25 trout for 75lb on Saturday.
The fishery evening sessions are still ongoing and the fishery is open to 8.30pm, seven days a week.

Two specimens were caught this week, one by Mr Johnstone (Stirling), who landed and returned a nice 13lb rainbow from the top fly pond in his 4 for 22lb using yellow dancers. Mr Stein (Falkirk)  landed a fine 10lb rainbow from the bait pond midweek using maggots in his 3 for 17lb.
R Cooney (Bannockburn) landed a fine 7lb rainbow midweek.
