Cross media publishing group Magicalia Ltd. have announced that the popular fishing website www.fishingmagic.com has been sold to online publisher and magazine owner Fish and Fly Ltd.
Launched in 2000, FishingMagic is one of the oldest, best known and most respected fishing websites and has an excellent reputation with anglers and the trade.
Group Publisher of Magicalia Active, Ed Marriage, stated, “Our ongoing strategy is to publish in sectors where we can complete advertising deals across more than one website or magazine. Whilst fishing is a huge advertising market, its advertisers tend to arrange their own advertising and are, in the main, unique to fishing. FishingMagic would be better served by being owned by a niche player in that marketplace. I am delighted that a proven professional operator such as Fish & Fly Ltd. has purchased the website and brand and I wish them every success”.
