Two keepnets and a landing net for £30 – review by Rich Morris

I’d recently had a visit in the garage by the bandits known as mice so new nets were the order of the day. With money tight I wanted a good deal and I hit the jackpot with this Avanti Azure Twin Net Pack.

You get a lot of mesh for your money with this offer, which includes two keepnets, bank sticks, a spoon landing net, and a landing net handle. If you surf online that little lot could come to about a hundred quid, which makes this a real bargain at £30.

The blue net is technically the ‘carp net’ and is a rectangular construction which means it sits well on the lake or river bed. The silver fish net is, aptly, a silver colour and again the same shape. The mesh is very soft and carries the Angling Foundation stamp of approval.

The nets have full adjustable tilt mechanisms meaning they can be set at any angle to suit your position. And they are ten foot long so if you’re on a regular session there should be plenty of room for your catch to move around and at the same time avoid any oxygen depletion. For the record, the paperwork states the dimensions are 45cmx35cm.

The landing net set is also good quality with the pan big enough for most regular fish, from bream to carp. Well worth an investment.
