Picture the scene; you’re stalking in the margins when the fish takes the bait and you are straight into battle. You ready the net but by the time the fish is finally beat, the head of the net has sunk to the bottom and now, just when you need to scoop it under the fish, you are tugging away to free it from the weed and debris on the lake bed – not good.

The Fishrite Net Float is designed to stop this happening. By neatly fitting it onto the spreader block with a Velcro attachment, the float keeps the net up on the surface, ready and waiting for when you need it most. I’m a keen stalking angler, and often hook fish in places where you need to wade out into the margins a little in order to net the fish. The Net Float allows me to drag the net with me out into open water when battle commences, as I know it will be right by me on the surface when I need it, rather than having to back peddle to the bank side to retrieve it once the fish is ready for netting.

I’ve seen so many people lose fish at this point; when the fish is beat they suddenly realise they need to ready the net, and it’s either off to one side of the swim or the head is buried under the surface – and in that instant where the anglers mind is concentrating on the net rather than the fish, the fish makes a final bid for freedom and is gone!

As such, I can heartily recommend this item to any specimen angler, and at just £5.99, it’s not going to break the bank.
