I use blackcap feeders on rivers and lakes.just make a few holes bigger with a scissors.also have found adding brown sugar to the wheat when you steep it really brings out the nutty smell of the wheat.also seems to catch you a bigger stamp of roach/hybrids etc.

when you say a tiny feeder is it an open feeder like 10grm drennan mesh.or a blackcap or what do you recommend.

Using a pressure cooker with a pyrex glass plate on top, I have been bringing to the boil and then simmering and usually it turns out okay but now and again losing enough steam for some of the hemp to burn. (I have tried the lid but it leaks even more steam and I cant see whats happening inside).
I have heard of using a thermos flask to do it but then your limited to a couple of pints (and ruining your thermos). I notice argos are currrently selling rice cookers for a tenner but never heard of anyone using one.
Is there a better method of cooking hemp? I also have tried soaking the hemp over night but have found it cooks just as well straight out of the sack.
I have also heard of adding salt!!
quickest way of doing hemp is to half fill a 3pt maggot tub with hemp then cover with water about one inch above the hemp put in microwave for 30 mins at full power and it is done.was told this by jimmy plaice who with mark addy done the bait for the english team.no need to soak old wives tale.

Some pillock posted me a couple of leaflets today. No covering letter. Nothing. One was a PETA 'Fishing Hurts' one, the other a Captive Animals' Protection Society about circus animals (wtf?!!).
Like, I'm going to open that, have a revelation and stop fishing.

i am just wondering if anybody has a masterline waistcoat cordroy that they are not using,it is the old model john wilson used to wear.looking for xl or xxl size.or maybe someone knows a shop which still stocks them.

just wondering what 3 cardinal 55s in perfect working order and great condition plus 4 spare spools are worth.not able to post picture at the moment.these are the origanal 55s not the silent version.

just bought carbonactive 11/6 feeder rod it comes with three quiver tops light /med/heavy they are all coloured the same.just wondering if anybody is using the rod what feeder weight would you use with each tip.i dont want to break the rod tips.hoping you can help.

just bought one of these rods s/hand need to get some quivertips for it .i need push in and put over tips.emailed tricast re same did not get the courtesy of a reply.does any body know if any other make of tips fit this rod.hoping you can help.

there was a progam done some years back called the angling experience it was on channel 4 made in Ireland.it is still available 4 episodes in total.the episode on lough arrow fishing spent mayfly and the tying of same is by far the best piece of angling film I have ever seen.i have most of the classic angling films none comes near this.get a copy watch it then tell me I am wrong.
