If you're on one or more our mailing lists, then you'll receive notice of this by email.
However, just in case you're not, please visit the following page for an exclusive Anglers' Net offer on prescription polarised glasses....
Just got my polarised bi-focals, haven’t had a chance to try them out on the boat, but I’ve tied a fly on with them – brilliant. I foresee the end of the need to swap back and forth between two pairs of glasses and running the risk of losing them overboard from now on.
I was a wary of ordering over the net, but my concerns were unfounded, glasses arrived just 10 days after ordering, brilliant glasses, brilliant price and brilliant service.
Thanks Mark (Specs4less) and Elton (Anglers’ Net).

Thanks chuby, have already been practicing, but feel I must be missing some of the finer points that instructional videos might help me spot and rectify.

Probably been asked dozens of times before but….
After going with an inexperienced friend and catching some fish I’ve just taken delivery of some fly fishing gear, so need to know how to use it properly. Can anyone give me any URLs for on-line videos of how to cast flies. I’ve had some very basic instructions, but need to understand the finer points, and how to execute the various types of casts so instructional videos would be invaluable.

We're down to fish the British Cod Championships out of Yarmouth, Isle of Wight this Wed & Thurs. We've been drawn on Osprey II, but I can't find anything about this boat. Does anyone know anything about it?

Having had three albright braid toleader knots fail on teh same day i would never recommend it.
Try http://www.fish4fun.com/Leader_to_Line.htm, but use a minumum of 5 turns in the uni in the doubled braid around the leaderwhich is is similar to what I now use with complete confidence.

Hot glue is the way to go, that way if you ever need to replace the tip again it will be easier to do so.
A while ago the insert in the tip ring of my Diawa TDX U410 Uptider fell out. So I duly took it to the tackle shop where they warmed the old ring up with a lighter, pulled it off and pushed a new one on. I must have used it on half a dozen trips since then and now the tip ring has come loose and I want to glue it back on. Now my question is this. Is this a special glue or will a shot from the hot glue gun do or maybe a dab of silicone?

Have a look at the starter kits at www.yga.yorks.com. I got one last year and haven't regretted a single penny.
Not sure about starting on a river, depends on space available for casting, who else might be walking by. I'd suggest starting on a still water with an hour or so's paid tuition.
