  1. Hi CF Only mackerel but found it hard fishing today as the offshore wind seemed much stronger than forecast (or what I expected) paddle round to watermouth was interesting going round coastguards to sampsons stayed at watermouth for 30mins and paddled back along coast to tunnels was back in by 15:30 took so long to paddle into the wind and tide plus the swell but all in all was a good day out just not as much fishing as I would have liked but have my flush mount rod holders coming next week and picking up a Fish Finder tommorow. I take it you didnt get chance to get out as didnt see another kayak anywhere today
  2. Excellent hopefully see you out there if you get chance with your recommendation will launch from hele (have wife drop me there) so i can paddle straight round coastguards to watermouth first then and if time goto tunnels/lee and finish on harbour slipway (have wife pick me up there) Will just use feathers/shrimps and lure
  3. Hi CF just after some advice I will be going out around 12, the hightide is 15:30 and the wind is SW 5-10mph would you head out towards lee bay and would this mean i would paddle against tide and drift back or would it be better to go Watermouth/Combe martin direction ? I plan on staying out till around 5pm if the tides let me
  4. Hi CF are you out this weekend, weather not looking bad for at least 1 of the days, wife on about doing things round house so wondered if you fancied a paddle and possibly a few drifts over high tide as I think top tides around 15:30 on Sat btw hows the fish finder fitting going ?

Hi CF I didnt get round to there until around 5pm as was round the hele side all day keeping family happy taking them out around rillage etc didnt get fishing properly till 5ish but hope to get out one night this week after work and might have a day off if you are interested in meeting up failing that will be at the weekend. 9. Hi all has anyone used the smartcast fish finders with their kayaks in the sea ? If so how well do they work ? I like the idea of not having to drill any holes etc and something that is not perminent
  10. Hi CF yes between the tip and the white marker/lobster bouys on way round to pier. Spent most of day just paddling from Hele to Rillage point with wife and kids etc then did a little fishing on way round to pier for an hour. Cant wait for next weekend !
