  1. Here's the truck we are in the process of buying that has the power to haul the fifth wheel and the boat and also the brakes system to handle that weight. You should see me trying to drive it. (fell out of it when I opened the door)

Not worried about global warming then?

Our government have encouraged 'gas guzzlers' off the road in the last budget.

Do you think the UK is making a bit more effort that other countries in the World?

  2. I see people knocking this rod.....................have you tried one?

You say the rod will break, how do you know?

stick some line on a big chunky log

Look at ice fishing for pike.................what sort of rod do they use?

I say don't knock it till you try it, that's why I'm 'Happy'. ;)

  3. Someone bought me one of those pen fishing kits last Christmas. It's a telescopic rod of around a metre that collapses down when it does you can then put the pen lid on it. It came with a mini gold multiplier, spinner and line.

I can't think that I'd ever use it. Absolutely useless...

If you don't want it can I have it please? :)

  4. Nothin at all I've drank enough water through lead pipes and it's done me no harm :blink:

As this lead replacement device is aimed at kids,(not as targets ;) ) I think this will be of interest.

Exposure to lead in housing poses a significant health risk to young children. Lead is a heavy metal used in many materials and products. When absorbed into the body, it is highly toxic to many organs and systems and seriously hinders the body's neurological development. Lead is most harmful to children under age six because it is easily absorbed into their growing bodies and interferes with the developing brain and other organs and systems. Pregnant women and women of child-bearing age are also at increased risk, because lead ingested by the mother can cross the placenta and affect the unborn fetus.

Tigger, it may be to late, the damage has already been done. :D:o

  5. A word of advise.

Get rid of your ocean rock.

I had it in my 6 foot tank, looked fantastic but.................

It traps fish, I have lost a number of wild(expensive) fish to the stuff.

They never see that type of rock in the wild so I see no point in using it.

I feel it just looks good for our benefit.

Tuffa rock ain't that fish friendly either.

I'm using river cobbles/boulders now and my fish are much happier and safer.

Ocean and tuffa up the ph in the tank but there are other ways to control it. :)

    Phil.

The whole thing about being called Happy isn't anything to do with Snow White(even if she is a dishy bird) but to do with a state of sexuality. ;)

  8. Did anyone notice their pets behaving odd last night? My dog was listless and next doors cat threw up in our garden, and I felt some pressure in my inner ear all evening, OK now though

After the tremor my fish were swimming at the surface in my tanks.

Not gasping or anything as 1 hour later they were back to normal.

    The dog didn't budge.
