  1. Yeah but every fishery seems to have them now! i'd rather try for one in the wilds but i guess that would have to be a pretty long trip. And the catfish were a pretty longshot anyway, probably the hardest one to catch. I think the trouts one for the spring unless its worth fishing for them in winter? Because most of the fish seem to be alot quieter now as it gets colder. And gamekeepers are fine unless they're carryng shotguns..
  2. Well i tried dent's today with little luck but apart from tiddlers nothing much was on the move, and no one else there caught anything much. But lakesides pretty plain, and theres only about 5 or so species of fish, i dont think theres even any perch or rudd in there just bream/tench/carp and roach. Its alright if you want to catch bigger roach or carp most casts but apart from that not much else. And i fish the canal just around nordelph, its not too heavily fished but theres always bream, roach, rudd, eels and the smaller silver fish. The best place for bream is in the middle of the village just near the bridge. But the other day i managed 2 perch to over 1.5lbs and a ruffe from near there as well. But i haven't been up outwell way too much is it worth going for tench up there? But this is my first season so im still exploring round a bit, but 13 species down, plenty to go! but i'll let you know if i find anywhere worth while around. Although the river wissey in hilgay doesnt look too bad.
  3. I'm in downham market so all of them are easy distance, but i've been fishing the canal and lakeside caravan/fishery which isn't too bad but is mainly carp but does have barbel but i'm yet to catch one, but thanks for all that, i do need to explore around a bit more, and i'll definately give the chub a go some time this week hopefully. but thanks again for the help.
  4. hey i'm trying to catch as many of the species i can before the end of the season. And i just wondered if anyone knows of good places to find the harder species in west norfolk. Anyone know of any decent fisheries with either gamefish/chub,barbel/catfish or any of the rarer species. Plus any other recommendations of smaller rivers to fish would be appreciated. cheers in advance, matt.
