    i am not attempting to treata you like an idiot but if you havent mastered a multiplier say by using it on lakes and such then dont even attempt to buy a multiplier get a fixed spool and then find a friend or fella on the pier and ask them to teach you the basics and learn how to use one because you either have what it takes or you dont and they arent at all easy to fish with if you are a novice lol and if your intentions are to progress onto a multiplier porchase a nice chep fixed spool package from our local shop i hope this helps

    i must agree with the list of what you need but i dont think you need to spend a minimum of 150 as i have a great shakespeare beachcaster multiplier rod and penn 535 reel and these both added together only cost about 70 pound the rod was worth 90 but on on jims.com you can get these from as little as 15 - 40 pounds and as for the reel get a bargain on ebay of maybe an bu 7000 or a penn 525 , 535 (for heavier stuff) i caught mine upfor a nice 38 + postage

    orite , just a quick question well a few question

    * what is the best rigs set up for pier

    * beach

    * boat !

    * float

    just because i have been using the small plastic booms with some crimps one 10 inch up and the other near the weight

    Any help would be nice thanks

    hi i would just like to say that this is a disgrace and that now adays there are a lot of young anglers that dont respect the fish but just to prove a point i and my fishing friend are both 15 so we are young anglers and we both have respect for fish if i dont want to or cant eat it the fish will go back for another day

    Hi Adam.

    What if you divide the coast line up into small sections and have enforcement bodies put into place for each section? what then would happen if (say through new powers in the new marine bill) these said enforcement agency where given the power to suspend an anglers licence and therefore make it less lightly that he is going to (a) not have a licence (B) not cause any offence that could contribute to his/her loosing that said licence, plus get fined for the said offence?

    Then Adam the sea and its shore line becomes a much smaller place. If you have say 2000000 anglers who have paid £25 each for a licence and 10000 who haven’t paid who do you think will get victimised?

    the one problem ihave with this idea sorry rephrase that the many problems i have with the idea. The main problem is that everyone nows that we will not benefit from the licence apart from the odd idiot that goes down to cause trouble will have to pay and might be put off. The money will go to those greedy sons of ****** at the government as extra bonuses or more champagne at meetings. You get the drift i think this idea is worse than lazy rag :wallbash:

    hi mike well i think the same as you but there excuse will be that we probably depleat the fish stocks well im sorry but if it to cover the enviromental risks then it should be that the daft angler no ofence that cant catch and return. My opinion is that noone owns the sea you cant put a price on something that no single perso owns and as we all live here then we should be able to fish for FREE

    Although the insurance is a rather good idea.

    cheers pal do you think it might be a good allrounder as in would it do as a backup boat reel a backup beach caster and a cliff or rock mayble pier reel. Because in going up to the shetland isles to do all this do you think it would do???

    would you say a second hand one for 25 quid is a good bargain

    hi everyone i am thinking of bidding on a penn 535 from ebay need some advice as its going to be my first penn multiplier have already fiddled about with a abu 7000 and now my way round a multiplier just dont know whether its a beach reel or not

    just saw it as a bargain and thought ohh well

    BUT any help or ADVICE would be appreciated ASAP

    shetland isles and fishing

    hi everyone im just wundering if there is anyone from the shetland isles as im going up to aith this august and was just wanting to know if anyone has any fishing tips and also if anyone either owns a boat or knows of a good priced boat to get out for a day. also what are the fish that you mainly catch? :thumbs:

    hi has anyone got either a pistol or 22 for just shooting rodents (doesnt have to be an expensive piece of kit) that they would like to sell. PM

    Also i have been quite interested in the steel headed 22 pellets with the plastic coats and just wundering if anyone has or nows of a cheap place to purchase these as around my spot the shops sell them at around a tenna a tin :D
