  1. Beware the Fifth Column.

Their motives are not those of bona fide anglers.

Essex man wants all beach fishing competitions in Kent and Essex outlawed and no hooks smaller than 3/0 used from our beaches. (Yes, I have copies of his statements).

You will find VERY strong correlation between certain 'Fillet and Release' exponents and the commercial sector interests.

    You've been warned!

Someone left this door open to them.

    <_<

Forgive my ignorance as I am new here.

Who is Essex man? Why would he want competitions outlawed in Kent and Essex?

Who has he made statements to? What’s going on?

  2. Was doing nothing really an option ?

And what ? wait for the announcement from the commercial sector that “their work is done”.Change is painful, and the cost of a voice comes at a price.

Hopefully the long term benefits will out weigh this short sharp shock we are all feeling at the moment. We were never going to get all our dreams come true to start with.

  3. Welcome Longshore drifter, found yer 'r' yet? Shore or boat? :) Hopefully the public will see it as it should be a video that appeared to be staged, compared with another prawn skipper who was independantly validated with less than 5% bycatch. Haven't heard from the nffo crying yet.

Hi Barry, still searching for my “r”

Perhaps a mod can lend me one ?

The video did the commercial sector no favours and only reinforces the beliefs of many a conservation and politics forum poster that the commercials are on a mindless course to sieve the seas destroying all that lay before them.

Do the NFFO have the credibility to be speaking about anything given the events that took place earlier this year involving certain members ?
