Grayling - you can't trust them. They're snide, unreliable and can't even make their mind up whether they're coarse fish or not. Hanging's too good for them.

I once tried to use superglue when float making, to stick a length of dowel into a hole bored in a shaped polystyrene body. I accidentally got a whiff of some yellowy brown fumes that were released and the feeling was indescribable. I honestly thought I had killed myself.

In spite of it perhaps being untrendy to say so, I simply don't like Firefox and have never had any problem whatsoever with Internet Explorer.
Unless of course, that is the reason why whenever I make a reply on this site, a quote from the previous post always appears, no matter what I do to the + or - state of the quote icon.

The problem with your reasoning is that you seem to be taking a very ego-centric view of this, assuming that everybody agrees with you. What about people who read your viciously simplistic right-wing views and think that you are among the scum who the country ought to be rid of? Not so simple then is it?

Well despite Cory's comments I agree with you that humans are more evolved in the sense that we have more advanced brains, for example. But does that necessarily mean we are more important or of greater value? I suppose the opposite seems a bit ridiculous, at least if taken to the extreme. If a bacteria is of equal value to you you could boost your value very quickly by eating one of those pills that contains millions of bacteria!
Personally I go for your first one. A 'soul' and such like. But I guess if I didn't I would go for the second one, but would feel I was 'skating on thin ice' in a way.
To the vast majority of the general public, just about everything is more important than a fish - as long as it either cuddly or has feathers (all raptors excluded).

no i have a mag cover copy from 1997 thats fully working and all but a couple of suits still do ,i prefer word as its easier to use with graphics than office trouble is office cannot open the files
i have lots of .lwp ones scattered about so still need lotus word
.pub files are publisher you need the non home office to get publisher included with the package.
my sis bro in law and i all use different word docs so it would have been nice to have one package that reads all on my pc for the emailed ones they cannot open
If you only want the information from them and aren't bothered about keeping the formatting, have you tried opening them with Notepad. Failing that, try making a copy and saving it with a file type of .txt. It might work

If you only have 5gb of music then yes Peter, it would be more than enough, I have about 500gb of music on various drives, that's decades of vinyl and CD buying for you!

I quite enjoy creating a compilation to play in my car according to the mood I'm in. I simply wouldn't want all the rubbish popping up all the time if it had everything and was set on random. If you have to burn the tracks you want onto a couple of CDs it concentrates the mind

Why on earth would anybody want an mp3 player with 60 gigabytes of storage? Surely, 5 gigabytes would be more than enough.

I have now found Channel five proper and was told that Fiver/Five US were also available. But despite my best efforst cannot find them!!
I suppose the obvious question is - Why would anybody want to?

Ignore it, it's the devil's work. I had to close down my Facebook account (can't think what possessed me to start it up in the first place), because I got cheesed off with all of the emails I was getting bombarded with, telling me that people who I had never heard of or disliked intensely, wanted to be my "friend". People also kept writing on my wall, so I had to tell them that if they didn't stop it, I would go round to their houses and spray paint their windows.

At a wild guess, I would say that when he has booted up normally and then connected the television, he will then need to right-click on his desktop and bring up the control panel for his sound card (my NVIDEA one works like this anyway). He should then be presented with options for setting up a second monitor and if the TV is a plug and play one, the computer should be able to pick up its driver. Sorry, getting a bit woolly here, but I think that's sort of how it works

You can imagine the prep area being a mass of sniggers when they were putting the piece together.I don't think the ET is notable for such witty headlines. "It's snow joke" is normally about the extent of it. They are probably now scratching their heads, wondering why they have received about 10 million hits worldwide for such a seemingly innocuous headline

I think overtly camp people can be annoying, just the same as any other people who effect mannerisms that are deliberately intended to draw attention to themselves (perhaps I'm being a little unfair there). As far as I'm concerned, if somebody is gay it is entirely their own business, although I would hope they would be able to appreciate that being in social situations with their partners could easily make many people uncomfortable. It might not be fair, but that's the way it is. Under normal circumstances it shouldn't really bother anybody too much.
What I think is really creepy is when certain people seem to think they have to display an extreme reaction to such people. You have to wonder if they are really trying to hide something by over compensating.

Thanks for that link corydoras - it's more than I paid for the drill in the first place, but it's better than throwing it away.
As for mending the lead, how on earth do you find out where the break is? And that's assuming that it really is where the problem lies.

I have a Woolworths cordless electric drill and the lead seems to have broken that goes from the mains transformer and plugs into the base station. I was guessing that a replacement would be simple to find for about a fiver, but I'm damned if I can find one anywhere. I have a multi voltage one that will plug into it, but the maximum output is only 12v, whereas I need 24 for this to work. Does anybody know what key words I should be putting in, because "drill charger" and "24v transformer adapter" doesn't turn up any relevant results at all.

I was simply astounded by the man's technique. I always thought that his fame was mostly due to him being a pioneer and had absolutely no idea that he was such an incredible guitar player. I'm sure my jaw must have dropped as I watched and listened to those old records.
