    Yes i thought i needed stronger line. I am ledgering for carp. It has a function which when you pull the line, it deals it out reverse ways in which you reel in. Is this not suitable?

    It's one of my first time's carp fishing since i have been fishing for tench mostly. Here's my Equipment: Rod: Ron Thompson Superior 12ft/3.60m 2 3/4 LBS carp rod. (I think this will be ok) Reel: Daiwa Jupiter-Z Reel, it's an old one of mine, i'm not sure if it will be suitable? Line: Trilene 6LB, Will this be strong enough? My main concerns are the line and reel, if they are enough to land a carp. Pictures:
