At last I made it out inbetween this terrible weather. Thought I would try for some flounders in the harbour so up early, hardly a breeze at home ,i loaded up and set off.Hour and a half later arrived at Rockley ,wind blowing a hooley straight across the harbour, paddled out to the other side of the channel anchored up and waited....and waited....and waited then all of a sudden a seal popped up near by, so up anchor and moved . Three hours later wind getting stronger so packed up went home. No fish but good day out, anybody seen that tide ripping out under the railway bridge.

I live not far from Yeovil, there are some cracking spots along south coast and just a short journey to Bristol channel. I have fished the Bristol channel both boat and reef and know some nice spots there. If you do move let me know

took me kayak out on saturday for a spot of fishing in portland harbour . Paddled over to the north entrance in the hope of a nice pollock or bass, caught both but well under sized. Had a bit of fun with wrasse on the way back. On the way back to the beach, two yards from dry land turned the kayak to miss a rock, wave came and kicked me out right in front of other kayakers . As soon as this bad windy weather goes going down to west bay and try for some cod ,will let you know how it goes
