The fishing isn't good in winter around the MOG. The larger pollack move offshore around this time and will return in April/May. I occasionally hear of a bass being caught through the winter but a lot of anglers days goes into catching the odd fish

[MOG - early pollock fishing]

Hi everyone

 

Been fishing MOG for years, from the shore for bass and pollock and four or five tope and pollock trips a year with Onyermarks.

Have four days booked with Ian from 15/5, but will have some free time in April and wondering if pollock fishing is decent that early.

May have my own boat by that time as well as rock fishing

What is the pollock fishing like during winter months.

How long do the bass hang about
