That's strange,,i've read a few reports about Cromwell lakes as i've been interested in fishing it myself..bad houskeeping is the complete opposite of what i've read..i've also spoken to someone about the fishery and they said it's very well kept and a very attractive fishery,,a quick look on the website would confirm this,were there large amounts of rubbish/litter there aswell as the rats???

    hello wellyphant you do not need piles of rubbish to have a rat population it is mostly caused by bait and food not being put into waste bins when people have finnished with it and not throwing it into the bushes you are correct when you said it was a nice place i first fished there many years ago when the present owners had only just bought it and have fished there many times since but on my last trip there for a couple of years me and my son had problems with the rats we were fishing to the left of the housewith the feilds and bushes to our backs pegs 44 45

  2. has anyone recentley fished cromwell lake near nottingham and had a big problem with the amount of rats on that lake they even dest :angry: royed the rubber on the handles on three reels that is one lake i will never go near again the amount of rats was ridiculous bad house keeping
