  1. Welcome to AN MB.Im afraid the only stretchs of the river I know at all well is the stretch at Maidstone from behind the Law Courts all the way down to the Malta Inn at Allington Lock.Ive fished the Teston stretch several times in the Winter for Pike (above and below the weir) during the 90's and a match at Yalding back in the late 70's!

Any info you could give me would be really appreciated it would be good to hear some medway related tails excuse the pun, also cheers for the welcome.

  2. MB

Are you fishing club or public waters on the Medway and are you just fishing the main river or are you fishing the tributaries, like the Beult or the Teise, as well?

    Tony

I am fishing the free stretches between teaston and the malta, i know some guys who fish the buelt but never wet a line there myself, at the moment im looking for good winter spots on the river, what stretches do you fish and what species do you target, im hoping the spot im baiting will produce a few who knows maybe i will get few photos in the snow this weekend. take it easy mate.

  3. hello to all,

I am a newbie to forums and this is my first post ever so it can only be about my main obsession which is the river medway and all the species who reside there.

Are there any anglers on this forum who also wet a line on the "mudway" if so it would be good to chat and maybe get other peoples perspectives on the many challenges angling there throws at you.

i should mention that i have fished there for about five years and have caught good specimens of most its inhabitants but its the carp that fires my passion. looking forward to getting a good chat going thanks for your time. andrew :)

  4. Thanks for the heads up on Labrador colours. I only knew of black and chocolate (that's all we used for retrieving ducks and geese) and have never seen a white/light brown to know it was a lab. A quick Google Images search showed lots of them and as you say, the same colours and pattern as Riley.

I think it looks more like a parsons terrier cross lab, either way you got yourself a loyal friend,

  5. Hi Andrew and welcome to Anglers' Net.

I prefer river carping myself. Seems to be more fun somehow.

You'll get more responses if you post in Coarse or Session Carping. This section is mostly for welcoming new members and is not heavily visited.

    thank you mate

do you ever wet a line for carp

  6. Hello to all my name is andrew and my main obsession is the river medway and its many species i have caught good specimens of most its inhabitants but it is the elusive carp that hold my attention the longest.

The river carp pose an ever changing puzzle and you never have all the pieces, In five years steady learning and experimenting i have only recaptured three carp so the number of carp present must be mind blowing. if anyone else would like to chat about the river or its carp please feel free, any fresh ideas would be welcome, thank you for your time
