  1. cant believe the price of getting it done by some garages around here, apparently you can get a canister from halfords and do it yourself, not sure if its any better or worse than getting it done in a garage compared to the diy alternative

Andy if your needing yours done give Luke a call at Transcool Blantyre he charges about £30 to £40 depending on whether you need seals

he also checks for leaks before he gasses the system .

  2. Over five thousand years ago Moses said to the children of Israel "Pick

up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the

    promised land."

Nearly 50 years ago, Harold Wilson said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on

your asses, light up a camel; this is the promised land."

Then Gordon Brown stole your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of

camels and mortgaged the promised land.

Now David Cameron has raised my fuel bills, increased VAT to 20% and is

threatening to sell off our promised land.

I got so depressed last night I called the Samaritans, they diverted my

call to a call centre in Pakistan. I told them I was suicidal. They got

all excited and asked if I could drive a truck!

  4. do an Fdisk then full product install ,

and then Get a decent AV product or suite not Shi*e like Norton or Macafee

both are poor to say the least

try( Eset smart security suite v 4) you can get a 30 day full product trial.

been using it for about 3 years and no intrusions or problems

  5. Yet more basic angling fundamentals that are not yet understood by KAUTO.Is it just me or don't you lot think it might be better if he builds up a bit more basic knowledge first before he moves on to carp fishing?

This isn't said to be little KAUTO but to generally help him.You learn a lot quicker when your actually fishing and catching fish rather than sitting behind some buzzers and a bolt rig! Plenty of time and don't spoil it by rushing.

    totally agree there Budgie

it took me some considerable time to get in to the ways of both of my main target species

Pike and Carp about 5 to 10 years of sometimes slow learning ,

however with some help from others i soon gained confidence which leads to better knowledge and understanding

of the how/what /where and why.

  6. Maxima don't sink fast enough for you then?

havent used maxima for donkeys years in fact haven't seen any for donkeys years

we don't get that much of a selection up here in the tackle shops

very little carp/coarse gear unless you use the Internet

when you mentioned maxima i had a 1970s flash back ;)

things where so much easier then

  7. oh there going cheap all-right that's because there crap not rain proof as such

if you do buy one get a large heavy duty tarp to cover it ,

if it rains you might have to swim out of it

to get a reasonable bivvy try ebay for used bivvys

you might get a bargain under £100 like a jrc sti 1 man twin-skin

or similar or look Click Here

    good luck mate

  8. ok thanks for your help and info

was going for the shimano hyperloops bx 2.75 tc

found out they aren't made any more and are quite hard to come by new

so it is now a toss up between shimano vengeance and the catana with the 50mm first ring

some one said that the hyperloop was replaced by the vengeance but i haven't been able to get confirmation on this.

looking to buy a pair of rods about the end of the month Eric's has the catanas at £69.95 spend over £100 and get free next day delivery

  9. yea but how much is a spool of that! :D

and for france i just use 15lb sensor! :D

i used sensor for years until i got a bad couple of spools which kept breaking well below the stated braking strain

    supposed to be 12lb

but line braking with a small perch and roach around the 1 & 1/2 lb

this happened about 10 to 15 times in one day so i sent the stuff back got a full refund as i didn't want the same line

dont get me wrong diawa still make some good kit but i have lost confidence in the sensor line .

  10. Ok so im abit confussed.

If i was to use a 12lb line what weight of fish would i expect to catch before snapping ?

now that depends on your skill as an angler and other factors like how the fish behaves when hooked/snags etc

i know of fish up-to 40lb landed on 12lb mainline

  11. been using this Ultima Pure Power Fluorocarbon Line

for about 3 months now spooled up with 16 lb for France big fish there

over here i use 12 lb not cheap but good casting to over 140 metres with a 3oz lead

and it sinks pretty fast unlike most of the mono lines .

  12. ALERTS TO THREATS IN 2011 EUROPE

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events re bin Laden and in Libya and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pi*s*d Off" to "Let's get the Bast*rds." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels .

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia , meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be alright, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is canceled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level.
