i,ve been watching the freat rod race on tele and matt HAYES WAS USING PELLETS AND SWEETCORN AS A GROUND BAIT AND I'M GOING TO HAVE A GO AT IT BUT I'VE ONLY GOT MICRO PELLETS WILL THESE WORK ROUND

whenever i've use a pva bag or tube when i cast out it always float on the top i've tried putting holes in it but it still doesn't work. any idea's

i've been using 18mm the source boilies with pellets in a pva tube

steve they sound good i think i might give them a try, do you use treble hooks or not and do you ledger them

i have been fishing a 4 acre lake at oakhill leisure for some time know and i have never had anything from it, the problem is the carp are wary of some baits so they don't touch them can somebody recomend me a good hookbait and a bait to fish over it as i'm not going to stop untill i get one

when you are using your marker float what size lead do you use

probably sounds like a stupid question but i have only just got into carp fishing, anyway are rig boards for storing things like hair rigs on or are they there to help you make certain rigs because i've tried storing hair rigs on them but there is nothing to attach the swivel onto

i've fished at oakhill leisures' carp lake 3 times and i haven't caught anything yet please could you help me. here is some info on the lake and some of the baits i have used, it is a 5 acre lake and so i'm told it's about 4 feet deep although i think it is probably more but i haven't got a marker rod so i wouldn't know, there is carp to 35lbs and tench to 8lbs. i've tried some 18mm the source boilies with a groundbait method feeder and i've also tried some of frank waricks 20mm strawberry pop ups with a groundbait method feeder (both of these were fished in the middle). ive also tried some 16mm indian spice boilies over sone pellets in a pva bag (tried the source boilies over pellets as well) fished in the margins. i've tried boilies over sweetcorn mixed with molases fished in the margins. i got a few line bites when fishing but i have not had any fish yet. could some one give me some tips on what i'm doing wrong or if i should just keep trying with these tactics

how would you fish a 5 acre lake with carp to 35lbs. i used a a srawberry groundbait method feeder with a 20mm strawberry pop up fished under a tree and i had a second rod with a 1oz lead and an 18mm the source boilie out about 30 metres towards the middle. the thing is i haven't had anything from that lake yet and i was woundering if i was doing anything wrong.
