I grew up fishing the Grand Union Canal, rivers Colne and Thames around my Slough home, joining the LAA and enjoying success in club matches. In the 70's the TWA opened up it's big reservoirs to flyfishing, Datchet and Farmoor being my favourites. In the 80's I was a founder member of Marlow Match Group and progressed the group through to the NFA 1st Division. These days I still win the occasional club match, my preferred venue is the Basingstoke Canal fishing bread punch.
I have continued fly fishing and fish a free local trout river and a small syndicate chalk stream, with the occasional commercial trout fishery for a social day out with friends.
In December I started a hunting and fishing website http://www.urbanfieldsportsman.com/ , which members may find of interest from time to time.
