[Shimano BeastMaster Match Rod]

Thank you for the info. I just getting started on course fishing. I just wondered if my rod would handle big bream and tench. Also carp I love catching big fish on light tackle.

I just wondered because there are so many types of rod. Whats the difference between a float rod and a match rod?

 

The guy in my local tackle shop said you could bring in a 30lb carp on a match rod.

I'm new to course fishing and I bought this rod a few days ago I know just wondering what this rod can handle on fish size and species. I love float fishing. Also if anyone has used them some advice or tips would be great. Im hoping for a wide variety that I could go for.
