  1. good news indeed ,and maybe a bit of closure for the families of the attacks he helped organise, also good to see US special forces getting it right, and have said they worked with pakistan (not sure about that one . bin laden , saddam , gaddafi ? next

  2. sean no need to feel bad at all ,local copper said how bad it looked atnd everyone at the station thought so too ,until we let people know the facts it is easy to see the bad side , good on you for teaching a kid to fish ,i helped a lad land a 33lb carp in france last year 10 years old and was his smile big in the pictures .

as to donations of tackle we do have quite a lot but if you want to e mail me i can send my address and if not needed by the scheme could donate to one of lads who wants to keep on fishing if thats ok .thanks for the offer

  3. thanks guys but the real stars are the volenteers who turn up to help ,one in particular does so much for angling and still finds time to help out some kids, they really are stars .cheers anyway makes it all worthwhile to see someone catch their first fish .cheers big al

  4. your right ,but we don't worry too much about that

    .

can you believe that the parents send them out without anything to eat for the day ,no breakfast off you go ,what parent could do that .have to arrange food now .

we should get some good coverage in the angling press ,and maybe an apology from an mp that would be worth the hassle .would love to have a go at alan brazil on talk sport who spouted off about it ,he grew up in glasgow so should know better .heh ho .

  5. ok time for some facts ,sorry had a bit to catch up with on this ,this is a scheme run by my club i do know what i am talking about ,anderoo (sorry if spelt wrong ) thanks for saying this was non story you are right ,

not seen in the picture were other children that were being coached by volenteers ,the pcso having delivered the children ,and they are not coaches, are catching up on text updates on a fatality, down the road, and trying to see if they were needed to attend .

we have run the scheme for 4 years ,they are not bad lads just kids in a poor situation .most of their parents have issues and sometimes this is the only time they get to be away from that .

so far we have a 86% sucess rate in kids completing the course and not getting into trouble ,some have gone on to continue fishing some have not .this is a good news story in my opinion for angling and we are contacting the press to get the story corrected watch out for those stories next week .

if anyones has any questions please either drop me a mail or post on here i will try to get back when i can . cheers big al

  6. i to loved the ludlum books but i thought he died and the rest were written by someone in the style of him .i always feel cheated if i get a book by an author i love and find it was written by someone else .just finished the latest lee child book nothing to lose ,a jack reacher novel, thats a good book if not one of the best he has done .big AL

  7. newt whilst i understand your comments taking a young family including a baby to sierra Leone not something i would consider

.The guys has been here for years, and the appeal is yet to be heard, thats why they are looking for support .whilst i understand people not feeling they can make a difference sometimes in the UK apathy really does seem to rule . so far thousands have e mailed the mp who is collecting the evidence and a few more might make no difference i understand .cheers big AL

  8. chesters thanks for the reply so far thousands have e mailed in suppoet and it is growing .i cannot see how we are better off deporting someone who is adding to the country paying tax etc .just as an aside he will eligible to play for england soon ,perhaps he needs to learn italian .seems most on here could not give a toss if a young guy with a family it to be possibly seperated, and maybe killed, never mind eh alan

  9. guys not often i would ask but if you could support the case of this young man who we are going to deport .he was trafficked to the UK after one of his parents were killed in sierra Leone .but has made a way in life as a footballer and pays tax has a girlfriend who they have a months old baby with .why oh why our so called government feel he has to return to his country where he would probably be killed as his father led a secret sect i do not know .

if you could support his campaign to stay with an e mail to the watford mp who is helping wardc@parliament.uk with AL Bangura in the title i would appreciate it .

I'm sure someone could post a link to the BBC website with the full case details .

    thanks in advance Alan .

  10. just wonder how much aid we give to such countries ,if they were to go ahead and i don,t think they would, surely time to stop ,not sure if it were an isreali or american if they would sit by and wait sometimes i wonder if we have any b*lls left as a country .big al

  11. just wonder if this information is used to defraud customers who is expected to pick up the tab ,the banks i suppose .not really fair but how could you prove where the info came from .as always worth checking the statements for a while .Alan

  12. gray so sorry to hear the news the thoughts of my family are with yours and the whole of his relatives and friends .it is so sad that news like this will hardly make the news outside of your area .

lets hope he has a rod in his hand and fish to catch all day .take care mate big AL

  13. bet the 911 calls were great er you not going to believe this officer a guy in a wheelchair is doing 50 mile a hour on the front of a truck (surprised they believed the first call ) big al

  14. gray last time i was in France either big halibut pellet or luncheon meat were the killers for sturgeon .tiger nuts for the carp .would suggest using the on site bait as lots must go in .good luck have a great trip big AL

  15. gaffer i don't often disagree with you but on this one i believe you are wrong .if guns were allowed to be carried by students as self defense there would be more killings not less .every time some dissed someone it would be guns out here we go .surely better entry control perhaps teachers with guns but not students .

not really time to criticize the police but what did they do for 2 hours why no lock down on the campus, why no extra armed police in the buildings, from the scene of a guy at least 20 stone running to the scene looks like they were in the dough nut shop .

as already stated i feel sorry for the families and friends but will it ever change i don't think so. big AL
