It was my first time up there and wont be my las, as i said we all had a good day. My boy was dissapointed that the boat trip was canceled as it was going to be his first trip but this turned to joy as he caught the biggest dogfish and his first so he was over the moon.

Thanks for reply its someone at my girlfriends work who is dealing with it so i will need to ask him if the boat supplys the gear or find out the name of the boat and speak to the skipper myself.

I am going to Scrabster shark fishing in november and this is the first time for me so was wondering what braking strain line i would need also would a 50lb class rod be ok?

Hi there am just new to the site i dont know when your going to loch lomond fishing but like dave holt says try loch fyne. On sunday afew of us went there after our boat trip was canceld we ended up at a place called Carrick where we fished from the pier and started to catch dogfish, mackerel, and coalfish and it turned out to be a good day hope this helps.
