[back leads at go fishing??help]

i was at go fishing when i came across an item of tackle called a back lead. could any one please alert me as to what these are and how you use them.

i went to go fishing on saturday. i was planning on going with 2 friends whoi both let me down so i ended up going wiht my stepdad who hates fishing, even he thought it was good (mainly due to skiply clad ladies).

i managed to pick up a ronthompson c14 feeder rod retailling at £49.99 and an okuma epix pro baitfeeder retailling for £59.99 for £70 the lot. well worth the £10 entry. and the free goodies were cool
