  1. Hi All,

I am looking to up the anti next year and want to fish somewhere new and somewhere different. I am thinking of fishing bluebell lakes, not kingfisher, but perhaps some of the other lakes and in particular fancy doing some river carp fishing which this venue looks good for.

If anyone can offer any advice it would be most appreciated. I do not get much time on the bank and like to find out as much as I can before I venture to a new venue.

    Thanks in advance,

  2. Hi,

I understand that there are a small collection of lakes by the Blue Lias pub in Warwickshire that are managed by Rugby Cement (Cemex).

If anyone has any information about these lakes, it would be most appreciated.

I am looking for somewhere new for next year!!!

    Cheers all......

  3. Hi all,

There is a fishery in Crick near rugby that I cannot remember the name of. It used to be good for a load of fish. It has a lake called Serpentine.

I cannot remember the name of the fishery but have heard it is now a season ticket water only??

Does anybody have any additional information??

    Thanks

  5. Hi All,

I am looking for somewhere absolutely stunning to fish, a moat around a castle or something similar. A bit of a strange request I know, but if any of you know any really beautiful places to fish in or around the midlands (prepared to travel for the right place) please let me know.

    Many thanks,

  6. Great article, I have not fished the in the US but have fished the St Lawrence and the Trent system in Canada and the fishing is amazing as are the fish. I am looking at doing a trip to the states next year hopefully, just not sure where to go at the moment.

    Keep at it people.....

  7. Hi all,

I am looking to a trip to france this year possibly next. Looking for a relatively easy water but with some good fish, most importantly is that there must be good accomodation on site which when booked offers exclusive fishing.

any help would be appreciated, there is plenty of stuff on the net but would prefer a recommended water.

    thanks in advance.....

  8. My worst and best moments were shared in the same experience. I was game fishing in the dominican republic when we hooked a Marlin and it was my turn in the chair, the sun was red hot, the swell was huge and it was easily the most physically exhausting thing I have ever done, and I hated every minute of it....until after 40 minutes the fish was on the boat. Then I was sick everywhere!!!!

It was a glorious fish, I was burnt and bleeding and felt hideous....

  9. The Ebro is full of carp and catfish, if you are taking you own gear, just find a good looking spot, pile loads of bait in and the fish will come, when they arrive keep piling the bait in to hold them in your swim as they will clean it up very quickly and move on, watch out for the big cats as they will readily pick up carp baits and there are some massive fish in most stretches!!!
