Thanks everyone, will try the sites you said before we go. Will let you know how we get on and don't worry about the polar bears, we take our own with us.

Jim Doyle, would like to know some areas or Brown Trout, we nearly always sea fish but would like some other fishing

  3. Hi

Thanks for info on Lake District very helpful

Can anyone now tell me where I can purchase a Day License, for the same area, Possibly for Perch and Trout on Ullswater.

Can I get it from Post Office in Devon, or do I have to get it in the Lake District, and does it have to be a post office.

  4. I would recommend that if you are going to travel to Devon or Cornwall you start out at about 5pm you should then have a clear run through.

I live near the Devon Cornwall Border and regularly travel to Cumbria, and either way, this is the best time of day to travel.

  5. In a weeks time I will be visiting the Lake District. Stoping with relatives near Penwith.

I am interested in doing some coarse fishing, possibly from a boat, for a day or two.

Can anyone suggest what sort of fish likely to be caught, on what lakes, and can I get licences for a day or possible more.

Have never really coarse fished before, mainly sea fishing, but would like to try.
