quote:how do you reboot your hard drive, i want to wipe every thing clean as i have ammassed so much crap.
Formatting (not rebooting) you hard drive is very straight forward. What is vital though is that you have made a backup up of all the files you need & more importantly that you have all of the drivers/software for all of your hardware (printers, scanners etc)
If you are (re)installing XP, then you also need to make sure your machine is setup to boot from a CD ROM.
Do a search on google about formatting & reinstalling before you go ahead.

Once you have this sort of problem, you really have 2 choices:
1.) Format your drive & reinstall Windows (the best but not necessarily most practical method particularly if you do not have a partioned drive & will lose all your files as a result
2.) Restore Windows to a previous restore point (assuming you have system restore active?)
You can achieve this quite easily & MAY solve your problem
My recommendation would be to wipe your drive & start again ...

Yes, touched a nerve here too!
Personally I think they should be banned for public sale & use & you should have to go to a proper organised event. There are too many people & animals mamed each year by the misuse of fireworks. Even people who don't set out to misuse them can mame or kill themselves.
I was at a "proper" organised display many years ago when one of the firework lighters (sic) dropped his lighting device (sic) into a box of display rockets about 20 yards from us. Needless to say chaos ensued & a pregnant women was hit in the stomach by a display rocket, thankfully it wasn't that serious.
Trouble is where I live bonfire night seems to start the 1st week in October & doesn't end until 2 weeks after November 5th.
Ban em I say!

Yes, they most definitely are!
I had a similar situation a few years back when I needed a receipt from B&Q & the girl at the counter told me the til was malfunctioning & she couldn't give me a hand written receipt as "They don't do that sort of thing".
Naturally I mad quite a fuss & got the manager to hand write a receipt for 23 separate items
I checked with an account friend of mine afterwards about the legalities of this & he told me you are entitled to a receipt for any purchase & it is a legal requirement for anyone selling a product/service that is VAT chargeable to offer you a VAT receipt
I'm not anal you know, honest ...

That really is "humour" at it's most base level ...
Well done!!!
So didn't want to like it, but it has a certain puerile quality that appeals to my "sense of humour"

Dreamweaver has certain built in functionality for the type of thing you want to achieve. As I mentioned there is an army of people who create add ons that will do exactly what you want & more as well.
I do honestly believe that FP holds amateur developers such as yourself back from moving forward.
My missus started out using FP, hen went onto use DW & was amazed at the difference. I will be odd at first, but stick with it & it will be worth it in the long run.
If I can be of any further help, then please let me know. I know what it's like starting out :-

When you say "drop down menu's" I assume you actually mean the mouse over menu's on your website ?
Drop down menu's are actually a form element, not what you have on your website.
Frontpage really is a bag of dog toffee & bears no resemblance to the correct way you should be building websites, rather it is Microsoft's version of HTML.
I suggest you should use Macromedia Dreamweaver. You can get tons of free plugins that will help you build those type of mouse-over effects & more.
The main problem with the positioning of your mouse over menu's (and your website in general) is you are using relative positions instead of absolute, (percentage instead of a fixed position) this will always have different display properties dependent on what size & resolution the user has their monitor set to.
What you see in your WYSIWYG editor need not bear any relation to what is displayed in a browser.
You should change your table & cell widths to pixel sizes instead of percentage width.
Also do not trust for one second the inbuilt browser that comes with front page, ALWAYS view in a proper browser as you will be seeing 3 different results.
I've been a web developer for almost 10 years & changed from using front page to Dreamweaver after about 4 months, believe me you won't regret it.

Gray-Catchpole why not get yourself KVM switch (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) instead of running 2 monitors ?
http://www.kvmswitchdirect.co.uk/Rextron_K...AG.htm#myhopper
I am a professional web devloper & have 3 machines running. I only use 1 monitor though & switch between them. Alot cheaper, a lot less space etc ...

It's fekked - buy a new one

Well that's 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back

Actually I was watching John Wilson (I think) at Chesil bait up a ragworm.
He removed the tail as he says "It comes off during casting away", so I thought "Then why remove it if it comes off ??!"
Can't say I've had that happen anyway.
I think I'll go down the route of not threading them so far & double hooking them

Right
Firstly: what version of Nero are you using Howard 13 ?
I still use Nero 5.5.8.2 - it's an old version which I've stuck to as I've had issues with newer versions. I have no problems creating audio CD's from WMA files
Secondly: I wouldn't recommend WMP for burning CD's - basically it's pants
Finally: you can easily convert WMA files to MP3's using a utility called "Alive MP3 WAV Converter"
Hope that helps - WMA files are quite a basic audio file & are easy to convert ...

Being new to using ragworms (the look of them & the fact they "are biters" put me off for a good while!) is there a method of threading them onto a hook that avoids their stomach popping & squriting all over you ?
I hook into the mouth & thread onto the hook all way up the the eye of the hook
Having now used ragworms I realise what deadly bait they are - just wondering if I can avoid the odd "pop" ?

Aha - so the technical term would be a "Line Taker Offer" ?
-
Thanks all for your replies
What exactly does a "Line Stripper" do?

I used to love Henry Gilbey & especially Fishing On The Edge - of particular interest as an intermediate sea angler.
Unfortunately now I can hardly bare to watch him. He comes across as immature and a braggart. There's no doubt about his genuine enthusiasm he just does my head in!
I think I was only interested because it is the only dedicated sea fishing prog on H&L
My vote goes to Matt Hayes as all round most watchable. Informative, non condescending, inoffensive & buck toothed brummy
John Wilson really is a giggling tit - Heheheheheheheheheheheeeee bu-YOU-tiful!" Ever caught a fekkin ugly fish John ?!?!!
Rex Hunt is another collsal tit
