  1. cheers guys

beef up my local knowledge then

    Dear Santa,

I have been very good and only taken home fish I intended to eat and always cleared my rubbish away.

Could you please bestow the divine wisdom to know how, where and when............. :D:D:D

  2. lots of people will give advice re this topic slosh 20/30(daiwa) and penn 525gs/mag will be among the contenders.

    Depends on budget

I recently bought an Okuma 202C pro classic and a 300C classic new in a deal from mikestackle(Edinburgh) for less than 48 squids for the pair (5 yr warranty) new slosh/525 approx high 70's low 80's.If I don't get on with them for shore then may go back to F/S and keep for boat work

Something about the sound of a multiplier whizzing off line wants me to stick in though :rolleyes:

first few casts yeserday were promising with my new penn villan 13' rod (early christmas presents)

In years to come may upgrade to more expensive models if I out grow okumas

  3. too true too true!

If i know i'm not going to out again and had previously retuned some of the part used bait to freezer last time i give it back to neptune if no other anglers about

Arthur: The leaving the freezer door open doesn't earn too many brownie points especially if like me you've left it ajar overnight and defrosted the whole bloody frezzer in the process

Need to run power to my shed for small fridge feezer for my bait if i'm ever aloud out again after restocking indoor frezer

  4. Its never an easy subject to deal with. I still remember the first patient that I witnessed passing away. It is a very sobering event but I always try to be positive about any role I have played in their care that has eased suffering and pain.

I have never been as angry with a fellow nurse than tne morning I came in on early shift to heara frail elderly patient had passed away (supposedly a few moments ago) whilst performing last offices we found the syringe driver and by calculation of rate it had been switched off approx. 2 and 1/2 hrs ago i.e at 05.00 and patinet had been left for day staff to deal with!!!!!

death cert. confirmed as time of death was 05.05

Complained to nurse manager but as I was "only a student" not toomuch fuss was made and there was a negative comment made at my mid-term assessment.

I can still see many of the faces of past patients I have nursed through their worst times, sure in the knowledge I did my best to give them dignity and peace.

That is what can keep nurses going when we have sh*t days

    Andrew

  5. ruin any film there watching by telling them what happens next (as its usually a repeat) then send them to the well to draw water and chop some logs to boil the kettle for their annual bath! santa santa santa santa

  6. don't flog your fixed spool until you've been night fishing a few times as you can't spot the weight splashdown and have to do it by feel this( birdsnest city is when day practice can come into its own

As obe one might say " feel the force young Jedi"

looking to get some practice in on my new Penn Villan once reel arrives!
