  1. i was once had by the exact same scam yur talking about. i bought one ringtone and i recieved between 2 nd 5 aweek. at the end of every message it said if i wanted to stop the service all i had to do as reply with the word stop. i did this and i recieved a message back saying the service had been stopped. the next week rolled up and guess what i was still receving ringtones i did not want. in the end i had to call up my service provider who sorted it out for me. something needs to be done about this "fashion accessory"

  2. i havent bought my licence yet as i havent fished once since my licence expired dont mind buying one though as ive been told the money from licences go to the upkeep of waters. didnt realise there was a closed season on rivers so ill keep that in mind!

  3. me and some friends are planning to go fishing the river severn at bridgnorth on saturday aiming to hopefully get some barbell. can anyone tell me what baits are effective for barbell and if its likely we will catch any fish at this time of year. sorry for the stupidity of this but i havent fished for a while.

    thanks

  5. i accidentally bought some spade hooks once when first getting into fishing. like john s said it will break your hooklength so you dont lose all your tackle. plus as it did for me and ben88 it lead to us tying our own hooks and saving £2 a time when we learnt to tie our own hair rigs.

always worth learing how to tie anyway

  6. is it really not worth going? yes gobio we are young anglers but we are also all strong swimmers and none of us are wreckless near the waters edge. however i can understand the concern as the river is rising. last time we went the river rose a hell of alot in the short space of time we were there (20 hours) and it was quite alarming. if the fishing may not be good i dont think we will bother going.

  7. can anyone recommend any must have baits when barbel fishing. me and a few mates (including ben88) are going to bridgnorth to visit the severn and are quite open to using different bats. we have found luncheon meat quite successful but i was wondering what else is quite effective.

    thanks
