Still waiting for ours I sent the online renewal on March 15th and am still waiting; I will print off the receipt numbers as proof of purchase: however I have not seen an EA bailiff on a trout water for ages.

Great news indeed

Does any one fancy a fish-in later in the year? if there is a demand for it I will arrange it, probably in December.

Degrerase the line between the controller and the floating bait or use a leader of Fuorocarbon between the controller just like fishing a dry fly, if you have drag problems throw a few mends in the line: or better still use a fly rod and fish a floating mixer glued to the hook or an artificial, then you do away with the controller completely.

I am thinking of getting one of these from 7Day shop.com; not quite as good as a GoPro but not far off for £99.99, chest, head and bike mounts are also available.

I believe they are now part of Sports Direct, Mike Ashley's evil empire.

Targets for 2013:
Coarse Fishing: to actually do some.
Sea Fishing: to experiment with Light Rock Fishing, I am just waiting for the Blenny run to start.
Trout and Fly: Do some wild Brown Trout fishing in Urban areas (Like in the book "Trout in Dirty Places). Catch a decent Bonefish.
Destination Fishing: Bonefish as above, catch a Sailfish, Permit on a Fly

I wonder where I put my Coarse Gear???? More importantly can I even remember how to use it?

Tinca
Take a look here: www.light.rockfishing.co.uk it might just be just the answer to your problems. You can fish from anywhere not just rocks, groynes, harbours, etc.
-
Good luck guys, I am sure it will all work out.
-
Tinca, are you referring to Rock fishing as in fishing off rocks or Rock Fishing as in Light Rock Fishing i.e. fishing with ultra light rods and mini-jigs and plastics?
-
Tony, it must be difficult casting a fly from inside a bivvy...roll-cast maybe?
Got to get used to casting in tight swims sometime:)

Matt
It even makes catching stockie pasties fun.

My idea of a light carp rod, these days, is a 9ft 5# with a deer hair dog biscuit imitation on a 5lb flurocarbon tippet.

We all know why you hate Europe:
I've never seen a makem in Milan!!

think you may get in a mucking fuddle if fishing a river in seven weeks
Not if you are fly fishing the Coquet for Troots or Salmon

Sounds good I will be heading up North soon I may pop in for a session.
-
"So just 7 weeks left." for some of us it just seven or so weeks to go, before we can get out on the rivers, in the meantime its the stocked still waters for me.

I use Sally Hansens's Hard as nails (a nail polish), as a substitute for epoxy when fly tying, things like epoxy buzzers etc. I see no reaon why you could not use it on pole floats as a varnish substitute.

I have not been out dropshotting for a while, but I have purchased a load of LRF gear so it looks like i will be dropshotting in the sea this year.

I fancy moving to Spain, when I retire in a few years time; though a bit further south, somewhere in Andalucia away from the costas.
