  1. AHA, so THATS where he lives.......probobly lives in a Pasty Mine, if my guess is correct...... :D:blink::D

BUT, To be honest, there are a lot worse places than Cornwall to fish.....lovely place, nice people too, might be worth a try......lots better than that Devon place I hear about .....

    Now Norrie,

You of all people know I'm not from Cornwall :P

I think he's thinking of that other Benny we knew and loved (anyone else remember BennytheBass.....now he was funny)!

Mind you, John, your always welcome to join us on some trips out of South Coast ports next year (all full this year). PM me an email addy and I'll send details of what's booked through to September next year.

  2. Out of curiosity, what do you think is so wrong with his picture?

    Paul.

Lets assume there were between 6 and 8 people on the boat...makes two or three fish each. No problem as far as I'm concerned but some others feel so 'self-righteous' about themselves, they can't resist the urge to try and impose their own standards on others and failing that, have a dig!

Of course everyone has the right to act to a set of self-imposed standards, but no right at all, moral or otherwise, to try and impose them on others!

  3. What about thisone then

"Anyone who isn't dead or from another plane of existence would do well to cover their ears right about now"

    Hi Linda

One of my favourite films...can even tell the name of the actor/actress that said it.

Will give others the chance though!

Hell with it, Alan Rickman in Dogma!

Try "That's thirty minutes away; I'll be there in ten"

  4. Geezus, thanks for that BIGMAN...aint that near you Davy ?????Hope it wasnt my favourite Indian Kebab shop !!!! :(

How many times.......stop mentioning kebabs

Just eaten and I'm starving again....

    Mmmmmm....kebabs

  5. I can't remember what the exact name was, but Don's anti-lash comes to mind? It was like a wire spring thingy that fitted to the reel somehow, with a small loop that the line went through. Does that sound like it?

Sold by Don's of Edmonton, as I recall. My Father had a couple of Penn reels with them fitted.

  6. I suppose someone should mention Capt Pugwash & his motley crew - notably Seaman Staines and Roger the Cabin Boy.

    Legendary pirateers

    If it were true, I suppose they should;

If however, there was no Seaman Staines and Roger the Cabin Boy, I guess they shouldn't :yeah:

Nor was there a Master Bates..........

  7. Benny???????

The liferaft is for you to fish from :headhurt:

Bass anglers. Don`t you just love em :lol:

Norrie....you know that Paul and I only catch Bass to use as bait for Congers :P

One of the main issues with the Titanic was, that it didnt have enought liferafts....My boat certainly will have....enough for about 30 people.... :D:D They can be used as towables when not in use as Liferafts....

Actually, the way things are going, we might need them for fishing off, if any more folks come up for the weekend in October !!!!!! :D:blink::D

I think the overiding issue with the Titanic was that it sank :headhurt:

Was wondering how we were all going to get afloat on October <_<
