  1. i have ie,which i don`t use except for update.

firefox which i use for things that don`t seem to like things explorer based.

and maxthon which i use most of the time, it is an improved upon ie design, quite a few extras to standard ie pop up and ad blockers etc.

gues i just dont really go for the mozilla way of doing things.

  2. nice cars northern mark but,if there standard whats the handling and brakes like?

must say my favourite car if i were ever to win the lottery would be the 427 cobra, though i do also like the chevy chevelle ss,dodge charger and challenger,6.6 litre firebird and chevy camaro iroc.also the boss mustang, ferrari daytona, lambo diablo e-type jag.and for practicality an espace f1!!

back to reality my 2litre espace!!!!!!!!

  3. prefer the sygate firewall to zone alarm as zonealarm tends to start hogging system resources.

the outgoing blocking can be useful to see what is trying to connect to the internet and where on the web.does not say why though but at least you have the option to stop it.

  4. if your screen is flickering you need to go through, start/control panel/display/settings/advanced/monitor tab, then adjust the refresh rate to stop it.probably 75-80 htz could be more or less depending on monitor.

it is very important to know exactly what ram you need as if you have a spare slot or 2 it needs to match what you have.also systems need a specific ram speed for the processor and motherboard.

for how cheap they are a seperate graphics card is best pref nvidia.

they do agp and pci cards depending on your motherboards conections.

look on ebuyer.com the cards start around £25 for a reasonable one. i have an xfx nvidia 64mb tv out card thats run everything i have tried so far.

the ati cards are cheaper spec to spec but i have not used them so cannot comment on there ability.

  5. i cancelled with wanadoo.

    was paying by card.

thought there may be a problem.

    went to update payment details.

    changed a few numbers.

hey presto no payments came out.

letter saying they could not take payment please provide details.

  6. was thinking of changing as powergen who took over txu who had taken over eastern electric, are putting the old bill up.

now i have tried a couple of online comparison sites and theres a lot of companys with diferent prices who are part of one big group.

was thinking of going with scottish hydro but see atlantic direct (same group) are cheaper!

now i have heard so many "i thought it would be cheaper but it is not" storys that i am not sure.

does anybody know anything about these companys or have any advice or experiances that could help with this problem.

  7. you need to get the new connection up and running before you cancel your current.when you cancel with wanadoo i would advise you to change your payment details online.

i recently cancelled with them by phone, was told my payments were up to date so all sorted.

me being a trusting soul i changed my payment details to made up rubbish, guess what they tried to take another payment and wrote a letter because they could not get it!

  8. its working on my system ok,

with avg, norton, spybot, adaware se,shareaza, maxathon, mozilla and mozzila firefox.

but i have read a few bad things about zone alarm such as, a process "vs mon" seems to be using a lot of the processor power and i have read that it is a part of zone alarm.

so i am not sure whether it is so good.

but what is the best firewall.
