Hi everyone, a couple of years ago when I started sea fishing I bought a rod & reel combo for about £40, it has served me well but I think it's about time I upgraded now. I have purchased a new reel & now I'm on the lookout for a new rod.I was recommended the shakespeare odessa f/s for its casting(tongue in cheek) and its bite detection but have had great difficulty finding one(have seen them on e-bay,but only in rod & reel deals).Could any of you gents offer any recommendations, obviously there are hundreds of them but I'm afraid the zziplex,greys etc are out of my price range, medium price range(whatever that is).thanks for reading this chaps,hope someone can help.kind regards ray (toffeeman)

Hi Everyone, This my first experience of using a forum and boy,am I glad I joined, I would like to reply to all concerned regarding my plea for help,I'll get the hang of it soon,but for now can I just say a very big thankyou to you all.I had been trying everyday for this info and one notice in the forum and all my problems(and more)sorted in no time at all. So if you will excuse me I'm off to get my fishing gear out and have a couple of hours fishing knowing that my reel come to no harm,many thanks again lads,kind regards ray

hi,many thanks for your speedy reply,have followed your instructions and have downloaded the scematics & will print off later.You were right about the manual,what I'm really after is,after I have been fishing,I have been advised to wash the reel in warm soapy water rinse off and let dry,when dry ,liberally spray ALL over with WD40,that part of it I can do no-problem,what I'm not sure on is the advice to lubricate and grease every so often,I don't want to strip the reel & end up with a bit or bits left over after putting it back together again,if you know what I mean.thanks again,very much appreciated,kind regards ray

hi, I have recently bought(2nd hand) an abu ambassadeur CL3 without the manual or service instructions,as you all know its a very goodreel and I would like to keep it that way.can anyone out there help with these,does anyone know abu's web site to see if I can download these. thanks in anticipation kind regards ray
