  1. out the two i'd have to choose the maver deploy its's only an extra £24. they both come with same tops and exras but the deploy is quite lighter. and this may benifit when you need to fish long tmes at distance.

hi i would look at the cfs F-16 pole i have used this and i liked it is 16 metres long and can be bought for around £250

  2. How many times are you going to post the same message Rooney? I've just deleted 4 duplicate posts, and now find another one! Believe me, your posts are getting through :)

HI I have been to primrose valley and i watched a match on the lake there did not see a lot of fish beeing caught but most of the fish i seen were silvers, the site itself is great. You also have the oaks at Sessay and a few miles beyond that you the great woodlands lakes i hope this helps

a weeks fishing at REVELS FISHERY in cosmore dorchester dorset.

so the big question is - has anybody fished there and is it any good for a novice like myself ?

we will be going the second week in april.

    Jeff

Hi Jeff i was on holiday there in October i travelled over 4 hundred miles to fish there, the accomodation was basic, but the staff and owners could not be faulted in any way. The match pool is a little way off if you are carrying a lot of tackle. The fishing is good and the tackle shop is crammed. If you want any more info e-ail me at bobbystevenson@blueyonder.co.uk

    cheers bob

  6. hi bob.

have you prepaid for your tickets? well if you have you are in for a shock with your free gift if it was like the one i got when i went to tacklemania a couple of weeks ago. it was a controller float and a bit of rig tubing!! well worth it for the pole angler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as to what to expect think hall with about 10 different tackle shops with a market stall. the one you'll notice most will be brundall angling centre (bloke running it is abit loud) though don't think he liked the fact we were not impressed with the milo box he had there on offer (clips would break after a season or less in mine and my cousins opinion). he asked us what boxes we had if we didn't like the £399 milo he had complete with show deal of a free wheel kit and when we both told him we had a rive all he said was they are very nice boxes and did not try to actually sell us anything after that. (even when we were looking at his pole selection). we did have a little waggle of the maver n57 which he had on offer at £2400!!! how many people are going to have that sort of cash on them or even looking to spend that at these kind of shows.

there is alot of unbranded items there and a one stall had landing nets with out any fish safe logos on them!!

if you are looking for some new luggage you won't fall short on finding some. there is plenty to be had and i was surprised at the quality of it. on a previous visit to a tacklemania last year in gravesend it was all cheap tat but this year in my local one you had daiwa, preston and sensas stuff. (the sensas rod holdalls are very good for the money and i'd recommend them to anyone, they even had the matching carryall for it there).

bargin wise my cousin and i got a great deal on the Preston Innovation Carbon Active Sentient 13' Power Float. most online retails are offering them from £180 to £205 each. we got a pair for £245. bet his bosses cried when he told them.

if you are going to the show for anything specific don't get your hopes too high. and if you are going for a mooch you may spot something you want to buy.

was there anything specific that yu wanted from the show?

one notable absence from tacklemania this year was used carp direct and their auction type atmosphere stall. ( i have seen that they were asked not to attend this year. so they have done so but have put together their own show with vale royal angling)

i don't know what the talk is like as they happen on the saturday and i went on the sunday.

    hope this helps.

    any other questions just ask.

    mark

adding to what you say about price i forgot to say that. if you are after a specific rod/pole/box make sure you check the internet retailers first. some of the show deal prices are the same as if you bought it from their website and some are higher than other websites.

hi maver fan great reply to my queastion thanx i am looking for bungs and elastics for my new pole also some bait pellets hookers and loose feed ones and hemp ect plus any tackle going cheap

i am quite dissapointed with feedback about the show i am travelling to dorset for a fishing holiday from scotland so an hour and a half detour onto a 7 and a half journey for what appears to be a naff show is shall we say not something to look forward to. I have heard that used tackle have some top kits to fit my new maver messiah and that they are at the show. thanx again for taking the time to reply cheers

  7. hope this helps if off the same mandrel i bought some top 4's for my grimreaper on buy 3 get one free they worked out at 8 quid each

mavers tend to be a bit wider in the joints so some top sets can be difficult to find unless you buy the expensive originals

dresstothrill2069 was his trading name on ebay

    hope this helps

    thanx jimp0 i will have a look

  8. hi every1 i have just bought a maver messiah pole. If anyone has any info on best place to buy top kits or just info positive or negative please let me know. I will be waiting at the door for the delivery man in the morning.

  9. forgot to mention i didnt go to the match lake or the predator lake as its a long old walk. the canal stretch is good down at the dead tree end fish tight to the other bank and desperation lake you cant go wrong on they will throw themselves at bare hooks

    thanx ricksteruk cheers
