  2. You may have heard that a Nigerian woman has been sentenced to death by

stoning. Her crime was to have a baby out of wedlock. As soon as she's

finished nursing the baby (some of us might feel that this is an on-going

process that extends beyond weaning), the execution will take place. It's a

horrific way to die and can take hours for the victim to die.

This case has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey show and, in association

with Amnesty International, they've set up a campaign to stop the execution.

You can register your protest (it takes about two minutes) by going to

http://www.oprah.com/ and clicking on the Amina Lawal link.

You might want to let your non-angling friends know as well.

  3. bruno you left out "festering pile of feathers that used to be a sea gull"

although they seem to like rolling in/on it better than eating it  then they wonder why they get chucked in the river

  4. i thought i read an article in the comics about the barbel round there being covered in sores ?

must be saddam using biological weapons lets nuke him !!!!

or is that what bush's poodle blair wants us to think hmmm may have to think about this one .

  5. we are sending nhs patients abroad for treatment as its cheaper than having proper hospitals open in this country so why not ship our criminals over to thailand or siberia where i'm sure it would be cost effective even including flights.

it would generate much needed foreign currency for poorer countries and may just deter some criminals from offending again.

    :P

  6. 2 of my wifes elderly relatives live in the country and woke one night after hearing noises ouitside.

the husband went downstairs to investigate, telling

his wife to phone the police.

she did and was told sorry we havent enough men to send anyone.

she went downstairs and informed her husband the police werent going to do anything because of a lack of manpower.

so being the sarky old git he is,he rang the police himself and said dont worry about sending anyone "i'v shot the person who was outside"

within ten minutes there were 5 cars and upwards of 10 officers of the law (various ranks) present and very upset at not finding a body and a nice easy prosecution.

they can find bodies to send when they think they are gonna get any easy collar cant they !!!

how many officers follow blair and family round like lap dogs ?
