    theres about 15 ponds there of which 6 are match ponds.they may only use 4 for the match if there is one on tho.

     

    as for best time to get there 7am.

     

    thats when the gates open,if your not fussy about your peg theres virtually always room somewhere .

     

    imho the first pond you come to is the best,its the oldest so has the biggest fish !

     

    have fun.

     

    oh if its hot try putting an umbrella up over the water and fishing under it.

    works best in a corner peg,i think the carp mistake it for a nice safe bush to hide under.

    just a word of caution with these things if your using the maggot version just be aware they empty very quickly.

     

    so you may find when you sink the line your actually pulling your bait away from the area you'v baited !!!!

    a good way of colouring the water when fishing the margins is to take the top section off your pole stick the end of the pole in the silt and blow bubbles through the silt.

     

    lots of colour with minimal disturbance :D:D

    and the answer was zilch non of the boats were going out -too early in the season.

     

    and no freshwater fishing as there has been no rain in the last 2 years and so theres no water other than wells.

     

    still i'm all brown from lazing by the pool :P

    originally trained as a chef hated it - got hgv licence put too much weight on + got banned speeding on my bike ( av speed 125.4 mph over 14 miles )

    went into forklift truck driving , hated my manager and he hated me so i'm now a security officer.

     

    all apart from chef for the same firm.lilliput lane ltd. been working for them for 15 years now.

     

    i'v only listed the jobs i'v done for more that 4 years there.

     

    inbetween i'v been company chauffeur /worked in sales dept/stores / casting/maintanance in fact a little of everything really.

     

    i also have a car wash going and labour for a firm of heating engineers + help put up green houses / sheds occasionally and i do vermin control for a golf driving range.

     

    once in a while i go fishing too !!!!!!!!!

    the oh so inteligent council here have coned off the busiest junction in cumbria so 5 yes 5 brave men can stand talking about how long its going to take them to put a cycle path in.

     

    i mean theoretically thats what they are doing.

     

    in reality they are just messing around while they wait to see if f & m is coming back so that their wages will treble again.

     

    4 seperate lengths of dual carriage way are down to one lane yet this is the good bit - one bit is finished they are working on a second and the other two havent even been started.

     

    last time i was forced to go that way i counted 11 vehicles and only 5 people, although to be fair one of the mini diggers was actually moving :confused:

     

    gonna go and hide in the corner again now that rants over with :P
