thanks that's really useful. the only problem is that our slugs are mainly orange. we'll see what happens.
by the way, for those with culinary interests, here's a time-honoured chub recipe:
''Take one chub of about two to three pounds. Gut and clean fish and place on a wooden breadboard. Bake in a moderate oven for ten hours, allow to cool. Scrape burnt remains of chub from board and discard. Eat board''.

hello boys
my garden's full of snails and slugs this time of year.
are there any fish out there that will take them as bait? if so, what's the best way to fish them? and what are the best garden mollusc species for bait?
any advice would be much appreciated!

Any point in taking my freshwater fly gear to Thailand this February? I can justify dragging a 5-piece fly rod and a few flies around, but not much more given the heat. It'll give me something to do while my other half visits the "sights" of Bangkok and Pattaya (or so he would have me believe).
