That looks like a great place to stay ako. I am very interested in fishing in Mexico and at the right price we could have a deal. The only thing is i am fastidious on hygiene and i would like to see what the inside is like before i commit to paying.

This looks like a good idea.
If you are at sea and get into difficulty and you are unable to raise assistance, is there anyone ashore who knows what to do if you fail to return at your estimated time?

As long as the balsa held up to it, then im sure nothing can go wrong. As for powering of it, the battery should be able to cope with that no probs. Good luck

Glad all ended well

unfortunately, AKOMEISTER is right it has been in the shop since last year. And they had the new prowlers sitting next to this one. If you you are happy with it then fair enough, but its worth remembering that by modifying your kayak with the fittings that the new one already has you could void the warranty.

A shame, but i wonder what they would have done, if you had said you had your own insurance cover?

Just wondering how prepared people and there tackle are to capsizing.
I ask because a recent trip led a kayak capsizing. This was down to bad anchoring. The person was fine, and was able to stay calm and right the yak, and climb aboard. But there was no chance on retrieving all of his tackle. With most of it sinking never to be seen again. I know bungees were used to strap down his gear and that helped, but there was still a rod and reel lost amongst other things.
So now i am going to try to add some sort of buoyancy device to each separate bit of kit. And wonder if anyone has done anything similar?
