I haven't seen any but many Landrover have been converted.

I would be quite a good idea though.

I have seen six wheelers for the water but they are more boat with wheels.

Newt may have seen things in the States as they are in to it moer over there, hunters may use something you are looking for.

Cheers Ferret, i will try and find these six wheelers on line, unless, you know.

what i'm after is anything that one can ride, on the road and in the sea.

it has to be small though, a Landrover is a wee bit too big for what i'm looking to use it for. :D

Newt!

way to go Ferret.

that'll keep me busy for some time.

i have come up with a hair brained idea, that this will work for me.

you see, we have so many reefs over here...

well you get the picture.

thanks buddy

I have just looked at some of them on route 6*6,

and they all seem too far down in the front when on the water, well for what I have in mind any how's.

how hard would it be to make one from scratch.

I'm going to look into it.

that land rover is looking better by the minute Ferret.

There used to be a machine I remember from my youth called an Argocat. It was a 6 wheel amphibious vehicle - saw them on Tomorrow's World several times and the Army dfinitely use them. Have a look at www.argocat.co.uk

thanks David, I wondered if they made them in our area, they are the same ones as Ferret gave me to look at though.

have a look at his link it's real interesting.

I think these craft are a wee bit low in the water, to be of any use on a choppy sea.

and the speed of 2 miles per hour, well, again our tides race from 0 to 40ft on occasions.

looks like a boat is the only answer, but it's so expensive over here, an island for the riche.

I have a spare parking place, a luxury over here, and living next to the slip, an amphibious vehicle is the thing.

I just got to get it together, ha, easier said than done.

thanks again :)
