Deal Pier for Your first Venture, you have Steve Allmark running the Tackle shop on the Pier (England international anglers, world champ at some stage, i believe).

Samphire Hoe. Some fear it. Tackle graveyard. Check it out at low water, there are some clear spots where over the years the pebbles and sand have filled in the snags.

Google it, this is where all the Channel tunnel working were dumped. There are boulders there the size of houses. cranes and dumper trucks also abandoned there.

Once you have cracked this venue it can be very rewarding ;)

A haven for fish inc Wrasse, Bass Pollack Mackerel and Gars.

Limited tackle available from the on site shop (NO Bait)

Prince of Wales Pier, Dover.

Great for the Mini Species with small hooks down the wall. A chance of a good Bass, a 10lb'r has been caught already this year.

Brazils Tackle shop in Snargate street for bait

Folkestone pier.

Great Venue that can turn up just about anything. Invest in a drop net.

Great Dab Venue, just before the bend.

Tackle shop under the arches across the harbour from the pier and car park

Admiralty Pier, Dover.

Forget it this time of year

Once you have learnt your pier craft return Oct onwards. Great Cod Venue.

8 oz Fixed wire leads, learn to cast uptide.

Very strong tide run. Drop net required.

Brazil's for bait.

Dover Breakwater.

require's a boat trip out to it.

Anything can be caught inc some nice Rays and Smoothounds.

Brazil's for Bait.

Good luck B)

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.
