Does anyone know who controls the Crook o' Lune? Are day tickets available (and where from)and finally if lure fishing is allowed?

I've fished at Halton and Claughton (as a guest) and I'm pretty sure it's fly-only and dead-men's shoes waiting list for some of the best beats.

 

As far as I remember, they'll cut off your tentacles if you so much as think about lures, at least on the beats I fished a few years ago. Great place, Lancs Univ!
