Micro-pellets for canals

Recommended Posts

I will be fishing on the Trent & Mersey (I have bought a narrowboat ).

Can anybody recommend a micro-peletts or do you think any will do / halibut?

I will use hemp but I want to have some micro-pellets because they dont need much looking after.

I am not targeting any particular species and will be using various hook baits, maggots, worms, meat, sweetcorn.

A little off-topic, Andy, but what other manufactured baits do your fish recommend?

And anything they don't favour?

BTW, with respect to the original post. Marukyu micro pellets (in seaweed flavour, I forget the trade name) have worked well for me.

to be honest so long as its edible they will have it. so its made me think all these fancy flavours, boilies, pellets and wonderbaits and such are all just gimmicks and basic bread stuff will do the job just as well as anything.

Interesting. I was swayed by an article into trying liquidised bread in a PVA stick. It worked as well as any of the mixes I'd used before, which I think illustrates your point, to an extent.

to an extent yes, being in an enclosed space they can home in on it much easier so i guess as long as you can get a strong enough scent on anything edible in the wild your laughing.

sorry for going off topic jeremy.
