carp rig-8-10lb mainline, what do I need?

Hey Matt, this is not a complicated rig!! I had put this setup into a hole in the weeds and lilies in the margins, while I was fishing on the drop with corn in front of me.

The problem was I had just got my second rod set up and had missed a bite when I decided to recast the carp rig and bingo... one broken landing net!!! (this is my first season back in six years, so still on (re)learning curve)
