Hi,

Been trying to redirect big cod website for hours.

The current site is here:

http://participaction.bravehost.com/paulswebsite/Paul.htm

Ive been trying to do a little redirect with this:

http://participaction.bravehost.com/Paul.htm

But everytime I put that second file (paul) into the first folder The original file (paul)will not be overwritten. I have tried for hours but the original file stays in place. Someone please help. I can give you all the ftp names etc if you can help.

Many thanks. Im off to bang my head against a wall for half hour. Back soon.

No idea about the subject of ftp, but was thinking maybe if it won't let you overwrite you could just delete the first file and then add the second?

Sorry if my ignorance is showing, but just a thought.

No thats a very sensible answer and 1 I tried yesterday. I think it may be my ignorance that is causing the problem. Iam informed my redirect page does work and I am viewing a cached copy of the old page. But as im unable to get shot of my Cache Im not sure if thats right.

Another lesson learnt.

Something called a forced refresh F5 has sorted it out and I was viewing the browser cache. Shame I spent about 3 hours trying to sort it.
