Hemmingford, Wyton, Houghton Ac ?

Hi, I live in the Houghton and Wyton area of Cambridgeshire right next to the Great Ouse. Can anyone give me any information on who controls this stretch of the river? I've asked in the St Ives angling shop and been told there is a Hemmingford, Wyton and Houghton Angling Club. I've been looking but can't find any info on joining. Anybody know?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Regged,

I've occasionly fished the section between Hemingford grey (the iron bridge) and the frying pan for a few years for pike, zander and eels but not so far this season (been concentrating on carp elsewhere). It's a nice stretch of water.

I've always bought tickets from the bailiff that turns up on his boat regularly at the weekends - nice chap too.

You can buy day or season tickets from him on the bank. Season ticket price wasn't much - $7 I think, with a discount on that if you live in the villages.
