Burton Bradstock/Cogden - Dorset

Has anyone actually managed to catch some fish at Hive Beach or Cogden ??

 

Have lived here for 3 months now & have caught b**ger all so far!!

 

To be fair I've not really given it a proper go - am just wondering what species people have managed to catch from there & what is best to target this time of the year ?

I have fished Cogden three times, once with Ziggy who caught the obliging Mackeral, once on my own and caught a juvenile Bass, doggies, small pout and I think a Dab, and recently on an ill fated trip with my two sons, we caught a small pout and a rather slimey eel,

 

best fished either side of the tide and evenings off course, my best day was when it had just blown a storm up!
