I visited Torquay with my family from Thursday 24 until Saturday 26 of May. The fishing on Princess Pier and Brixham breakwater was very poor.

About 5-6 mackerel a day caught on feathers from the Princess Pier and no mackerel caught from Brixham BW.

On Friday 25 May I managed to catch two small Pollock on feathers from the Brixham breakwater. One of them took the 40g Yan lure I was using for weight at the end of the feathers.

I saw only one more fish caught that day – a sardine that took a small Dexter wedge.

This was everything caught from BBW on Friday.

During those 3 days I was at Torbay the Hope's Nose fished very well for mackerel. I went there on Saturday morning and managed to catch 34 mackerel for 2 hrs on feathers. There were at least 30 other anglers fishing the left hand side rocks. Everybody was bagging on mackerel. Several were fishing from the rocks on the right, mainly on the bottom. I did not see any fish caught from there.

I took a dozen fish for the barbi and returned the small ones back alive.

Most of the fish were small. I caught my first sardine!

It was delicious!
