Hi all, tryed out my new toy today . Prowler Big Game, launched from Angle Bay , quite strong onshore wind with tide going

out, which made it a bit choppy. Managed to get out no problem, if i stopped paddleing wind would start to turn yak

Only went out about 300meters, started to get a bit more dodgy and being my first ever trip wanted to come home alive .

Also didn't have paddle leash ,did have PFD, sorry i can't show photos forgot camera, plus her indoors was trying to get

sprogs off the rocks.

Can't compare with anything else cos this is my 1st yak. Found the ride quite dry ,most water being blown over the bow and

now and again on me. Not ideal conditions, then i gave number 1 son a ride, he sat where the ff could be mounted, went out about 30meters so i could still touch bottom if the worst happened ,he was wearing a proper life jacket, yak was still ok felt

very stable and very fast going to shore with the wind. Only had about a desertspoon of water in hull ,reason i think is front

hatch is a bit of a crap fit even with it lashed down tight , if the top of the hatch touched the rubber insert around the opening

problem solved. I will stick some rubber around the inside of the cover, take note OK

Any road up ,i will be having getting my hours in as it were before venturing out any distance .

Will keep you posted with pic's next time
