Pheasant For Fly Tying

Hello, i have recently been given a pheasant skin by a butcher for my fly tying. I am in the process of killing any bugs on the skin. however, I am not sure what to do with the head. Do I need to leave the head on the cape but remove the eyee and brain etc or is it best to cut the head off please?

thank you

Thomas
